Record Crowds at Lucid Design District as CHROMA 2025 and Federdoc’s “Arte & Vino” Draw Thousands During Miami Art Week

600+ guests attend CHROMA’s Opening Reception; 300+ gather for Federdoc’s PDO wine showcase; steady foot traffic throughout the week

Lucid Art Gallery’s Miami Art Week programming continued its momentum with record attendance at both the December 3 Opening Reception of CHROMA 2025: Vital Impulses in Contemporary Art and the December 5 Arte & Vino event presented by Federdoc, the organization responsible for protecting and promoting Italy’s PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) wine classifications.

The week began with CHROMA’s Opening Reception, which welcomed over 600 guests, including collectors, curators, and visiting art-week audiences, alongside many of the 22 participating artists — a notable distinction during Miami Art Week, when artists’ in-person presence is often limited. Live painting by Kevin M. Fletcher, a hybrid DJ-percussion performance by Dholi Ram, and a multisensory installation layout set the tone for a vibrant week at Lucid. Early sales were reported, with strong engagement across all eight curio spaces.

On December 5, Lucid hosted Federdoc’s “Arte & Vino – Italian PDO Wines. Quality Has an Origin.”, drawing an estimated 300 guests for an evening that paired Italian wine education with a live art performance by contemporary abstract artist Nadine Vogel. As the event’s media partner, Live in Italy Magazine supported Federdoc’s mission to deepen consumer understanding of Italy’s PDO system, which certifies wines according to geographic origin, quality, and tradition. Guests enjoyed fine PDO wines and received a complimentary Federdoc booklet outlining Italy’s PDO regions and how to read an Italian wine label — making the evening both visually compelling and educational.

Throughout the week, Lucid saw consistent passersby from the Miami Design District, where its location and open-door gallery layout invited ongoing engagement with CHROMA’s installations.

About Lucid Design District
Founded by Payal Tak in 2021 and located at 10 NE 41st Street, Lucid Design District debuted as a gallery during Art Basel 2022. The space has since become a cornerstone of the Miami Design District’s art scene. Featuring 8 solo-curio spaces, an expansive reception gallery, and an outdoor installation wall, Lucid is dedicated to showcasing bold voices across all career stages. CHROMA continues to be its flagship exhibition during Miami Art Week.

“After retiring from a high intensity career in technology five years ago I traded corporate America for an art gallery,” comments Payal Tak. “My mission was simple – to make available an easily accessible wall space for artists in a prime location. CHROMA continues to attract thousands of visitors during Art Week and Lucid continues to showcase the artists’ creations well into the following year, making it a very desirable platform for the artists to participate in and for art lovers to discover the undiscovered.”
