Following a move from London Bridge, renowned sports brand HEAD, names London’s Design District as the official hub for its Innovations and Creative Studio. Occupying 2,463 sq. ft, within Building B4, designed by David Kohn Architects, HEAD boasts an onsite studio and office space to cater for its expanding team. Working from this space, the team originates all the innovative creative campaigns for HEAD and manages the brand’s experience throughout all their on-line and off-line channels.
The global brand’s relocation consolidates Design District as one of London’s top commercial destinations. Design District offers unique competitive socialising opportunities for brands on site as well as impressive sports and wellbeing facilities including – HIIT, yoga and London’s first rooftop basketball court – making it the perfect home for a global sports brand like HEAD.
Design District on Greenwich Peninsula is the capital’s first dedicated home for the creative industries. With inspiring architecture, it brings like-minded people together, fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem, sparking ideas and encouraging collaboration, making it the perfect choice for HEAD to establish its creative studio.
Gion-Men Kruegel-Hanna, chief creative director at HEAD Group, said: “It’s important for us to be surrounded by other like-minded creatives and we feel right at home among the Design District community. From our initial visit to coming into work every day, our team feels taken care of and we’re now in a space where we can thrive. The accessibility of the numerous transport links and onsite amenities, like the basketball courts and co-working spaces at Bureau, makes our day-to-day working much easier and frees us up to focus on our upcoming projects.”
HEAD is in good company with impressive creative businesses for neighbours including, Architect Ampuero Yutronic, documentary makers, Century Films and Founder Daniel Bailey of Concept Kicks as just some of over 170 creatives stationed at Design District.
Since its launch in 1950, HEAD has achieved an impressive reputation as a leading global provider of premium, high-performance equipment and apparel for athletes and players. World-class athletes Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff, Lindsey Vonn and Lara Gut-Behrami to name a few, are all aligned with the brand, highlighting its superiority within the sporting world.
Emma Mansell, head of London’s Design District at Greenwich Peninsula added: “We are excited to welcome HEAD’s global innovation and creative studio to Design District. Having purpose-built studio and workspace that is inspiring and that people enjoy being in is crucial to the creative process, which has made Design District the perfect home for forward-thinking brands like HEAD. Our onsite sports and wellbeing facilities are also an extension of this. The opportunity to connect with other like-minded creatives whilst playing a game of basketball on the rooftop court or recharging with a yoga class provides tenants with a collaborative experience that is unique to Design District, reasserting it as a home for innovative and dynamic brands.”
